This might be vary due to various reasons such as student performance and variations in the fuel price. But a budget of LKR 10,000,000 would be enough according to the experience of many students. It is not that hard if you are medically fit. Initially you are told to do an eye check from Vision Care and those reports will be referred by an ophthalmologist. Then you are required to do a couple of tests(cardiac,auditory,x-rays,blood and urine) from a prescribed hospital by the CAASL. All those reports will be sent to CAASL by the medical authorities itself. Then you are required to see an aero-medical examiner at CAASL for the final medical test. Afterwards you will be offered a Class 1/2 medical as per the doctor's opinion.
